RCP Station

An Industrial Software solution running as a background service (BackgroundService) on production workstations, responsible for recording employee working time and production task execution time using RFID card identification. The application maintains a persistent connection to an SQL Server database and automatically detects and handles network connectivity loss by switching to offline mode and locally caching events (RCP logs and task logs) in JSON files. Pending data is synchronized automatically once connectivity is restored. The system uses external, version-controlled SQL queries loaded from files, DPAPI encryption for sensitive data and snapshots of reference data (employees, task types and work groups) for fast access without querying the database for every operation. Each workstation reports its status (heartbeat and version) to the central database, enabling monitoring of the production device fleet.
